ITV Apprentice- Treasury Assistant

Duration: 24 months (This is a full time role from Monday to Friday - 37 hours per week)

Contract - Fixed Term Contract

Qualification: Level 3 Assistant Accountant

Hiring range: Manchester salary is £21,325

The team

The Treasury team is responsible for the management of money and financial risks for ITV Plc. Its priority is to ensure the business has the money it needs to manage its day-to-day business obligations, while also helping develop its long term financial strategy and policies. The Treasury Assistant will predominantly be supporting the Treasury Back Office team who are responsible for the banking operations of the business.

The role

• Reconcile bank statements to the General Ledger and inform the Global Finance Operations team of any discrepancies
• Process High value urgent manual payment via Internet Banking and obtain approvals.
• Updating payment logs for cash daily cash forecast.
• Download and distribute bank statements.
• Answer email queries in a central Treasury inbox.
• Open and distribute the post that comes into the Treasury Team.
• Perform time critical tasks to support the month end close process
• Support other areas of Treasury, as and when required.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

• Strong time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Scoring at least 9/10 through the multiple choice application questions
• Descriptive and an originality portrayed within the set application questions

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

• A clear understanding & passion for the apprenticeship role you are applying for as well as ITV
• Have a willingness to learn new skills with the appropriate training
• Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude
• Good understanding of how to use technology in an office environment for example use of the Google suite, zoom
• You will be friendly and approachable, respectful to all of your ITV colleagues
• You’ll have the ability to maintain a positive attitude, even when under pressure and working to deadlines

Eligibility/Entry Criteria

As this is a Level 3 Apprenticeship, we require you to have/be predicted to achieve the below qualifications

GCSE (or equivalent):

Maths - Grade C/4 or above

English Language or Literature - Grade C/4 or above

Plus 2 other subjects - Grade C/4 or above

• You have lived within the UK/EEA for a minimum of 3 years consecutively
• You meet the entry criteria for the apprenticeship as listed above
• You have not completed a degree/same level qualification in a similar subject to the role you are applying for
• You cannot have achieved the qualification already and you must not already be in full time education at the point of enrolment
