IT Services – Customer First project Intern

IT Services, InfoPoint and the Library are working together as part of the Customer First Project to improve student support services and need your help!

You will support the project-working with colleagues across support services such as IT, Information Point, and the Library identifying key sources of information that students require at different times of the year.

The main focus of work will be looking at knowledge and informational articles in each area to ensure they are up to date and worded appropriately for students to use at different stages of their academic and personal journeys at UWE. The role will also allow working in a student intern team to collate articles and information between different support teams so they have consistent and accurate information to share with students.

Within this role, you will support the UWE Support teams in collating, updating and organising this information so it can be used in the 2023/24 academic year. You will play a key role in helping to support future and existing students.

The role will provide an opportunity for you to gain experience in communicating with staff, and students, and gain an understanding of the way UWE support services work.

About you:
You will be a current UWE undergraduate or postgraduate student with an interest in working across teams and creating well-written and easily understandable information in a range of media types.

You will be competent in working with a range of IT systems including Microsoft365 and working with a wide range of staff in different organisational areas to ensure consistency across UWE

Where is this role based?
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed, while we continue to develop incredible new facilities to enhance our offer even further.

The campus has excellent transport links; we are within walking distance of two train stations, our bus terminus connects us to the local bus and metrobus network and we also have a range of cycling and changing facilities.
