IT Vendor Analyst


EDF have an exciting opportunity for an IT Vendor Analyst to join our Enterprise IT team here on a 12 month fixed term contract.


The Opportunity…


The IT Vendor Analyst will be responsible for the management and oversight of vendor contracts, including contract renewals to drive opportunities and efficiencies ensuring best value for Enterprise IT and EDF Energy through effective judgement and engagement with key and senior stakeholders within both Enterprise IT and our business units. You will manage suppliers within the boundaries of an agreed roles and responsibilities matrix with our internal Supply chain.

What you’ll be doing


You will be responsible for a number of contracts, working closely with supply chain and the business to determine if the requirement is ongoing, if it is then ensuring everything necessary is done in a timely manner. Being mindful of the timing of contract renewal activities and coordinating with all the other parties making sure the budget is also being adhered to.


Participate within an active team which has effective oversight and management of IT contracts and renewals to ensure security of supply and products which are both fit for purpose and of optimal value. Define and develop personal and team goals and development plans to establish better ways of working, this will include new SLA’s, KPI’s and business outcomes by which the team is to be measured.

Manage Vendors with respect to performance (commercial or otherwise), seeking required input from EIT and/or Business Units where needed and being the single point of contact for performance issues for Vendors for which you have direct responsibility in accordance and agreement with Supply Chain, providing necessary input and advice where not. Develop and establish robust forward planning practices to leverage commercial and non-commercial benefits via proactive management of contracts and suppliers.


Where appropriate, contribute to advise and support of the Commercial Manager on delivery of the Enterprise IT 5 year business plan. Form an effective relationship with the Supply Chain function establishing and affirming roles and responsibilities.


Who you are


  • Significant gravitas, influencing, negotiating and communication skills;
  • Abroad understanding of IT technology (particularly infrastructure) with interest in maintaining that awareness;
  • Ability to articulate commercially focused outcome based results;
  • Understanding of commercial and contractual agreements between EDF Energy and its IT service partners or previous experience in an equivalent environment;
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers, staff and colleagues, external third parties and other key stakeholders based on partnerships;
  • Demonstrable record of contributing effectively to a business
