Senior IT Technician for Solent Academies Trust
Full time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year on a permanent contract
Pay Band 6 (£26,073 - £29,777 per annum)
Solent Academies Trust is seeking to appoint a professional, enthusiastic and skilled Senior IT Technician to provide 1st and 2nd line IT support in and out of the classroom. There are further opportunities to support the IT Services Lead, Infrastructure Lead and Director of Digital Transformation in 3rd line support and projects. This is an exciting opportunity be part of our digital transformation journey moving to the cloud, aiming for excellence and ensuring that the pupils and staff have the very best experience possible.
This is a new opportunity to become part of a growing, busy team supporting an outstanding trust and learning community, which currently includes Mary Rose Academy, Cliffdale Primary Academy, Redwood Park Academy, Littlegreen Academy and shortly, Dove House Academy.
The successful candidate will:
Support the IT helpdesk and in person with 1st and 2nd line tasks
Support the IT Services Lead and Infrastructure lead with 3rd line tasks and projects
Have experience in working in 1st and 2nd line support, preferably in an education environment
Be skilled in troubleshooting
Be a people person
Be flexible and proactive
Have strong organisational skills and interpersonal skills
Be self motivated and willing to work independently whilst working with a wider team
Have strong attention to detail
Have a full driving license and access to a vehicle as the role will require travel
