Due to growth of the company, we are looking to add to our established IT team. We are looking to recruit an IT Technician that is a confident communicator, someone who can interact with colleagues at all levels to help ensure the team is able to meet the needs of the business.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable and be able to adapt to changing situations.
Location: This is an office-based role located at our head office in Southam, Warwickshire, CV47 0DR
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Overview of the Role:
· Assisting with the training employees on the company’s systems and providing ongoing advice and support in relation to software.
· General IT support for both the company and subsidiary company
· Working with external resources where necessary to facilitate upgrades, modifications.
· Software back-ups and disaster recovery procedures to include both preparation and implementation ensuring the company is insured for its technology risks
· Supporting the company’s infrastructure including but not limited to internet & associated firewalls, e-mail, telephones, air conditioning units, printers, copiers, remote access, CCTV.
. Assisting in the leading on all technology requirements across the company to help ensure the Company is compliant with legislation alongside best practice operations.
. Ensuring all technology systems, infrastructure and services meet company needs.
. Assisting in any major technical or software development projects across the company in conjunction with the IT manager.
. Assisting to ensure the adequate provision of infrastructure services ensuring appropriate use of technology, capacity, bandwidth and systems across all technology; constantly looking to standardise and simply our technology approach.
. Help with effective and appropriate advice and support on the implementation and interpretation of technology policies and procedures and new software for all staff members.
. Aid in any implementation of new systems including training users and
promoting the use of the systems.
. To undertake any other appropriate duties, as requested by the IT Manager, to assist with the efficient running of the support services
Skills and Personal Qualities:
- Ability to provide operational effectiveness in IT function/technical area derived from objectives
- Strong verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to summarize complex situations into key points and a willingness to get involved from the outset
- The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Well organised and ability to work both independently and as a team to tight deadlines.
- High sense of personal integrity
- An enthusiastic approach to work and learning
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
Qualifications:
Degree in IT or a Computer Science field, or equivalent is preferable.
Knowledge & Experience:
- knowledge of SAP Business One is desirable
- IT operational service delivery and support, system analysis and project management methodology and/or possession of a strong background IT technical functions and delivery across different technology stacks in traditional data centre hosting or cloud hostingIntermediate experience project managing IT solutions and cross-functional implementations
- Professional IT Certifications are desirable
- Fluent in English both written and oral
- Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
- Proven history of troubleshooting
