Job description – IT Tech Tier II and IT Tech Tier 1

The IT Technician II and 1 is responsible for onsite, in-house and remote service and support needs for our customers. Our ideal candidate has deep technical expertise and is customer service oriented.
Responsibilities:
- Installing, configuring, administering and troubleshooting a wide range of desktop hardware and software including Microsoft's core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware.
- Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, FortiGate firewalls, and security. Remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
- Deep working knowledge of operating systems - Windows, OSX, Linux
- Experience with ConnectWise ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Assemble, image and configure client workstations, servers, printers, scanners, mobile devices and other peripherals.
- Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
- Administration of Office 365: User administration, identity, access 365 license administration Office 365 policy compliance, configuration and PowerShell scripting for Office 365 and Active Directory.
- Apply industry “Best Practices” to all client sites.
- Understand processes in ConnectWise by completing assigned training materials and blueprints on the ConnectWise University.
Skill Sets:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Performs advanced technological systems support, maintenance and testing systems
- Proven technical, analytical and problem-solving tech support skills
- Ability to multi-task in a managed IT services (MSP) firm
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Must possess and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills as this is a customer-facing role
- Must have professional customer service skills
- IT Certifications: Cisco/ Microsoft/CompTIA certifications are an asset
- Highly motivated with a passion for technology
- Must have valid driver’s license and full access to a reliable vehicle
