IT Technician
Kennet School Academies Trust
The Kennet School Academies Trust (KSAT) requires an IT Technician to support the running of our IT Services across the Trust. KSAT is a community-based trust made up of three local schools: Kennet, Whitelands Park Primary and Francis Baily.
Our ideal candidate has experience in IT support and has a positive approach to solving problems and improving user experience. Relevant experience in Windows 10, Office 365, printers, Smartboards, projectors, and Apple Macs is desirable but training will be provided by our established team.
This role is based at the Kennet School site and will involve technical support of staff and pupils as well as the installation and maintenance of hardware and software across the three sites. Although most support is carried out remotely, some travel is required.
Working hours for this role will be 37 hours a week - full time (term time + holiday).

General Requirements:
- A full driving license, as some travel is required
- Friendly, able to work on their own or as part a team
- An excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Experience using or supporting Windows 10, Office 365 or other office products.
Main Duties:
- Handling first line support tickets - Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, security and peripheral devices
- Setting up new equipment - Configure, log and inventory all new equipment making sure the inventory is kept up-to-date
- Managing the IT Team mailbox - Monitor and manage the IT Team mailbox on a daily basis
- Primary school support, first line support and site visits - Site visits to the primary schools in the MAT and providing remote support where needed
- Supporting catering systems - first line support for kitchen and supporting systems
- Assisting the Network Engineer - Assist the Network Engineer with projects and support tickets
- Creating guides for staff and pupils - Create guides and instructional videos.
Other Tasks:
- Projector maintenance
- Collection of Biometric Data for use within Kennet School systems
- Classroom Support: Helping with classroom setup and supporting during lessons and exams.

Salary: £24,054.00-£27,852.00 per year
