Farleigh School seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and approachable IT Technician to play a vital role in providing technical support to staff and pupils, whilst maintaining the smooth operation of our IT systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for a college leaver or person who has a keen interest in IT, and who is looking to retrain under the mentorship of a knowledgeable and supportive IT Manager.
The successful candidate will work closely with the IT Manager to learn the systems and skills required to fulfil the role.
The successful candidate will:
· Demonstrate a solid understanding of computer hardware and software
· Have a desire to learn new skills including the motivation and discipline to self-study
· Be educated to Level 3 (A/AS Level or similar). An IT qualification is desirable but not essential
· Have good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
· Have strong planning and organisational skills with a flexible approach to task management
· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with staff and students
· Have the ability to work as part of a team and independently
· Be self-motivated, able to multi-task and demonstrate initiative
· Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to enthuse and motivate others
· Be willing to uphold and support the Catholic ethos of the school
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday, all year round. Occasional evening and weekends to support school events may be required. To meet the needs of the school and in line with the school environment, this position is school based in school and is not available on a hybrid or work-from-home basis.
The successful candidate will receive a remuneration package which includes:
· A salary between £24,000 and £27,000 per annum dependent on skills, experience and qualifications at the time of appointment
· 28 days paid holiday entitlement plus bank holidays
