Job Description: Care Worker
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and support to individuals who require care and support in their daily activities
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals receiving care
- Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals
Skills:
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Patience and understanding when working with individuals who may have physical or cognitive challenges
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to care plans
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
Note: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
