Job description
Digital Charter is seeking an experienced hourly Part-Time IT Field Technician to join our team. General responsibilities for this position are diagnostics and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues; repair/maintenance to PC/laptop hardware and peripherals devices. The right fit would need to be flexible since this position will be on call for ‘as needed’ IT support for one of our clients located in the Upper Marlboro, MD area.
Pay range: $30-45/ hr
Location: Applicant is located in Upper Marlboro, MD or within an hour dive to Upper Marlboro, MD

What you’ll be responsible for:
● Provide technical support to end users in person in a friendly and professional manner
● Install, configure, and maintain/repair desktops/laptops and peripherals such as printers, mobile devices, USB-connected devices, and other hardware used in development
● Install and configure application, operating system software, and upgrades
● Identify, research, and resolve technical problems through discussions with users
● Troubleshoot/repair hardware and network connectivity issues
● Remove old equipment and perform data migration to new machines
● IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications.
● Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows AAD, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, etc.
● Implement and support disaster recovery solutions.
● Remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
● Escalate service issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels.
The qualifications you bring to the table:
● 4 years of IT support experience
● Knowledgeable on Windows & MS Office 365
● Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft Enterprise Expert, MCSA, or MCSE, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, SonicWall CSSA, ConnectWise CCPA, LabTech LTCP, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP
● Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
● Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided.
● Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
● Performs remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and other authorized peripheral equipment.
● Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, & printers
● Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
● Ability to communicate regarding technical issues with clients
● Comfortable interacting with all levels of an organization
● Ability to work independently
● Ability to drive to client locations
● Ability to lift and or move various computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
● Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with privileged information
● Must be able to pass criminal background check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
