IT Technician
Hours - Monday - Friday (8:30am - 4:30pm) Dual sited in Brighton and Seaford
Salary - £24,000 - £28,000 – Permanent

Who are we?
St. John’s is a non-maintained specialist school & college, working with autistic people, the majority of whom also have learning disabilities. Some of our learners have co-occurring conditions such as epilepsy, hearing or visual impairments, or mental health needs. We also support autistic learners who have an additional profile of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) syndrome.
What are we looking for?
As an IT Support Technician, you will be an integral part of delivering exceptional IT services to our offices in Brighton and Seaford. You will work closely with the Manager Service Provider (MSP) to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s IT systems an receive direction and guidance on IT management and strategy.
You will have 1-2 years of IT Support experience, you should be proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working independently. This role requires the ability to adapt to new challenges and situations on a daily basis.
What will you be doing?
The focus of this position is on delivering customer-and business-focused IT services, rather than technical solutions. This means that you should have excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding of the needs and goals of the company and its employees.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their IT career. You will be exposed to a wide range of technical aspects, from Microsoft Windows administration and networking to IT security and file processes. You will also have the chance to interact with colleagues from different departments and assists with their IT issues.
In addition, you will be working with young people who may need technical support and guidance. The candidate should have good integrity, a keen eye for detail, and be willing to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
In conclusion, the IT Operational service is critical to the success of the company, and we are looking for someone who is energetic, customer-focused, and eager to take on the challenges of this role, with the guidance and direction of the MSP.
