The IT Department is responsible for delivering Information Technology to the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. In addition, TeraFirma IT is responsible for delivering revenue generating IT services to other NHS organisations and private enterprises involved in the delivery of Healthcare. IT supports approximately 10,000 users and services are delivered from two datacentres.
Our customers rely on the availability and quick resolution of systems to perform their duties. It is the post holder’s responsibility to ensure that the desktop environment is stable at all times. The post holder will have the skills and experience to resolve, rebuild and manage IT services and maintain the user access to critical Health IT Systems. As a technical engineer you may be required to work either on-site providing desk side support or remote support.
As part of the team you are required to demonstrate continuously high standards of customer care as well as the ability to respond efficiently and effectively to rapidly changing technical developments and ever-expanding user expectations.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT technical support engineer who is passionate about customer care. As a technical engineer you will work either as a remote or desk side support engineer receiving incidents that are transferred via the IT service desk or operational escalations.
You will provide the day-to-day second line IT support and software deployment tasks which may be carried out either remotely or at the desk side. This is an essential role in ensuring that incidents are resolved in a timely manner, minimizing disruption to our service users.
This role will also cover advice and resolution training to the Service Desk team for the entire user-base and will be expected to have an excellent knowledge of workplace technologies within the NHS.
