Who are we
Danish Crown's IT department, Global IT, employs more than 300 people who are located in countries all over the world where we have business activities. More specifically, you will be part of Infrastructure and Operations, where you will have dedicated colleagues who have the task of supporting and operating our production IT systems at the Danish Crown Group's factories in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, England and China. In the team, there is an informal tone, where there is always room to ask questions and make suggestions for improvements.
This IT Technical Consultant position is part of Country Services UK, which is part of Service and Support, which handles IT tasks with locally located supporters at our production sites.
In this position, you will be part of a local support team with one additional IT colleague and work closely with the factory's other departments.
In addition to daily support, you will be the IT professional and technical liaison in connection with virtually everything IT-related at the factory. The work will also take place in collaboration with other internal and external specialists, the Service Desk, developers, project managers etc.
You will find that at Danish Crown, Global IT, the focus is on the employees, so that tasks and roles are adapted to the individual, which also means that our employees typically stay in the department for many years. In addition, Global IT is characterized by a high professional level in an informal environment, which is largely based on mutual trust, respect for each other, responsibility, and good manners.
The job
Your primary responsibility will be support, maintenance and consulting in connection with the advanced factory IT systems. In addition, your responsibilities will be:
- Coordination and prioritization of IT tasks at the factory
- Updating, administration, optimization and monitoring of factory IT systems
- Troubleshooting between database systems, associated applications, MES, ERP and automation systems
- Troubleshooting and service on HP, Cisco, Siemens networks.
- Troubleshooting in SAP (queue and job status)
- Troubleshooting SQL databases (primarily via predefined queries)
- Join the IT on call rota
- Maintain and prepare documentation, e.g. for daily troubleshooting
- Training of superusers in collaboration with core Global IT teams
- Ad hoc tasks such as PC installation and updating of systems (office / production)
- Participation in larger and smaller projects of a very different nature and across departments
- Handling of own small projects.
Factory / production IT systems are often complex. Often with a close interaction between IT and Automation. It is therefore important that this complexity does not act as a deterrent. Technologically, specially developed systems are used, combined with more traditional IT systems, which are largely based on Microsoft operating systems and databases.
Professional profile
We expect you to have a broad professional knowledge in IT and technology. Including factory IT hardware or similar, and that you are passionate about advanced IT systems.
Preferably with experience as a traveling IT consultant, service technician or Senior IT Supporter
Personal skills
You are outgoing, persistent and work structured with your tasks until they are solved. You work well independently and in teams. You take initiative and responsibility. You manage to form and maintain the overview - even in stressed situations. Your approach is structured, analytical, solution-oriented, and you have a natural desire to learn new things and familiarize yourself with our systems. You can communicate with people at all levels, are positive and service oriented. It is important that you are flexible in terms of working hours, as some projects and updating tasks are performed outside normal working hours, in the evenings and on weekends, for the sake of production. The position involves participation in on call rota, (every 2 week). You must be able to fluent speak, read and write English.
