Job description
We are looking for someone to join our in-house patisserie team here at Endsleigh Garden Centre.
We do have the option for this to be either a full time role (40 hours per week) or two candidates at 20 hours per week.
As a bakery assistant, we would love you to have experience in a similar environment, with some knowledge in patisserie and baking. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, quality driven and keen to learn and develop.
Due to the location and shift pattern of the role, own vehicle use is essential.
Roles & Responsibilities:
-To help in delivering a consistent product of a high standard for the pastry department ensuring our guests receive the best quality of our products.
-To assist Head of Pastry chef in controlling stock, minimising wastage and ordering ingredients in her absence.
-Responsibility for opening the business as you will be the first on site some days.
-Ability to follow specifications and instructions given to you by the company.

- The ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment
- Flexibility in hours when the other team member is on holiday is essential
- Health and Safety regulations awareness as well as knowledge of hygiene
- Positive attitude to work and cooperate closely with other team members
- Basic computer knowledge, training will be provided on the in-house systems.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
Salary: £10.60 per hour
