Salary: £38,296 - £41,496 per annum

About your role
- Through development, delivery and maintenance of business process and system improvements
- Through development of new systems that supports AEB and comply with national requirements
- Challenging and developing IT Development processes and determining solutions
- Providing expert skills to deliver the development of management reporting for AEB and Multiply, ensuring the driving of continuous improvement across the organisation What are the tasks or work areas you are responsible for?
- Pro-actively lead on the implementation, development and maintenance of the corporate AEB system, including but not limited to implementing solutions in line with departmental standards by undertaking the production of data, statistics and management information reporting.
- Seek out and lead on the strategic development of IT Development projects using appropriate development methodologies wherever appropriate to assist the department to deliver the objectives of the corporate and strategic business plan.
- Member of the team responsible for the design, planning, development and delivery of the organisation’s corporate websites and online services.
- Investigate, prepare and effectively present information for AEB to a variety of audiences, including internal and external stakeholders with differing IT skill levels in order to aid understanding of customers.
- Examining changes in business requirements for AEB to assess and continually review the business and cost implications arising from changes, ensuring an effective service provision.
- Ensure effective IT security is designed into any solutions and systems to actively maintain security of systems and data within the application environment.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of relevant planning and process mapping documentation and reporting for AEB to assist the department maintaining business continuity.
- Actively determine and advise the IT Systems Development Manager in identifying appropriate technology frameworks and architectures to deliver quality and effective online services to meet organisational goals for short- and medium-term plans.
- Carry out ITIL problem management to completion regarding any issues arising that affect delivery of the IT service to ensure systems work effectively with minimal downtime, using own judgement when handling unforeseen complications.
- Negotiate and liaise with suppliers, contractors, and external providers to ensure best value and service for the organisation and customers.
- Actively participate and work collaboratively in the IT Development team and departmental decision making along with other employees across the organisation.
