Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen with a large company situated in Kent and across the South East. You will provide service desk support as well as onsite and remote support and assist in project work when required.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Providing onsite IT support for assigned locations working as part of a virtual team to provide customer support, troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and requests
- Escalating un-resolved tickets and follow up through completion on the tickets
- Interfacing directly with the employees of the company who have IT problems. This will be done in person, via phone and various forms of written communication (e.g. email, ticketing system and instant messaging)
- Troubleshooting and resolving all IT tickets
- General PC issues, local printer issues, mobile phone requests, system access, application issues, data base issues, server issues, network issues, security issues, virus detection
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Computer related Degree/Diploma/Microsoft Certification or equivalent work experience.
- Strong methodical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong MS Office knowledge, esp. Word, Excel, Outlook 365.
- Strong Windows 10 knowledge.
- Good Microsoft Active directory knowledge:
- Understanding of permissions structures in an AD environment.
- Group Policies.
- Deployment of computers (Dell/HP, SCCM PXE).
Desirable:
- Strong Mac knowledge.
- Skills in scripting automation, PowerShell, SQL Queries.
Package:
- 12 month Fixed Term Contract
- £35,000 based on skills and experience
- 100% office based
