The Role
Oversee the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the clients’ needs and preferences. Accountable to deliver clear and concise requirements to the scrum team, perform solution design, plan, organize, prioritize backlog items, and assess work for the scrum team. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify dependencies, risks, and manage product release timeline(s).
The Main Responsibilities
Understand VS Prioritization, ART Business Objectives, Capabilities & Features Committed to the Planning Cycle for the impacted team(s)- Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
- Define the User Story Definition and Definition of Done in accordance with US Acceptance Criteria with input from the system engineer/architect
- Collaborate with other roles to provide the requirements that teams will plan into their Sprints
- Groom and prioritize the backlog with the scrum team, ensure team understands the acceptance criteria and the content of user stories, and guide conversations for pointing and slotting the work into sprints
- Responsible that sprint planning happens in alignment with team backlog priorities, confirms all stories are refined prior to start of sprint planning
- Ensure the story meets the acceptance criteria as outlined in the story, accept, and close the story
- Participate in scrum ceremonies (Stand Up, Planning, Review(demo), and Retrospective), act as liaison between developers and Product when questions or clarifications arise out of these ceremonies
- Collaborate with Enterprise/Solution Architects/Developers on APIs structure, data mapping (as needed)
- Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process. Keep management apprised of risks, issues, concerns, and any timeline delays
- Foster a positive team culture, provide timely feedback, solicit stakeholder and team feedback
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree; Business or related field
- 4-6 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
- Working knowledge of product development architecture
- Familiar with Business-Driven Development
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically while commanding an execution strategy for self and team
- Must be able to influence and direct project team efforts, teams including executive leadership
- Ability to plan and direct the work of others
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadline
- A demonstrated a history of “getting it done” as related to the execution of large scale endeavors, including experience leading large program work and delivery of programs to completion
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be detail oriented and possess advanced analytical skills
- Must be able to apply problem solving methodologies and creativity in large enterprise environment
- Must have an intermediate understanding of telecommunications industry
- Must have the ability to learn and work in internal applications
- Must have a basic understanding of statistical analysis

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
