About the role:
We are looking for a highly capable IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance to our staff in our brand new London office, and all staff working remotely.
In this role, your duties will include ensuring the optimal use of our hardware and software technologies, enhancing system performance, and securing data.
You will also be required to advise on IT equipment upgrades, and support in office management responsibilities.
You will need to have experience in using Macbook's and Cloud-based systems such as Google suite.
This is an ideal role for someone looking to fast-track their career in IT management, as a stand-alone IT role this offers a lot of scope for autonomy and the opportunity to set direction.
The role will require a minimum of 4 days per week in the office, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day per week.
What you'll get up to:
Provide front-line technical support to employees (onsite and remotely) for hardware, AV and software issues
Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software issues including updates, installations, and configurations of computer and network systems
Set up new computers and accounts for new employees, including installing necessary software, configuring email accounts and supporting login problems.
Train end-users on hardware functionality and software programs.
Collaborate with third-party vendors and contractors as needed for technical support, software licensing, and hardware maintenance.
Maintain an inventory of hardware, software, and licenses, including tracking and managing asset purchases and software license renewals.
Monitor and maintain the security of client and server computers, Macs and G-Suite, including ensuring all software is up-to-date and implementing necessary security protocols and measures e.g. upgrading and managing MDM Platforms (i.e. Datajar)
Continuously stay up-to-date with new Mac and G-Suite features, as well as changes in the technology industry, to ensure the organisation is taking advantage of new opportunities and avoiding potential issues.
