IT TECHNICIAN (1st & 2nd Line)

Salary Range - £20,000 to £35,000 a year, Benefits (Private Health Insurance)

Location - on Site in Fair Oak, near Eastleigh; occasional customer site visits. Working from home negotiable.
Your new role
An IT Technician / Professional (1st & 2nd Line) is required to work as part of small team dedicated to looking after the IT needs of our customers that range from individual clients through to multi-national, small to large scale organisations. We act as the internal IT department for our clients, assisting them in their use of IT equipment and telephone systems.
What you'll need to succeed
Working within a small IT Support team, the IT Technician will take responsibility for providing technical support to customers via phone, email and sometimes onsite, managing and maintaining support systems, software applications and equipment in line with business and security needs.
We would like to receive applications from existing 1st & 2nd Line IT Support candidates who can demonstrate experience and knowledge (although training will be given as necessary) of the following essential skills:
- Support of Microsoft desktop & server operating systems
- Support of end user (desktop, laptop and specialist) hardware
- Active Directory, user maintenance, setup and configuration
- Desktop and Laptop hardware installation and maintenance
- Mobile device (Apple IOS/Android) support
- VoIP telephony systems
An ideal candidate would also have the following desirable skills:
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
We are looking for an individual who has a genuine passion for technology and motivation in helping people to use it. We are particularly interested in someone with personal qualities such as good communication skills, politeness, patience, a ‘can do’ attitude is a must and a willingness to learn and adapt.
What you'll get in return
The role offers a Salary range of £25,000 to £35,000 a year, including option for Private Medical insurance, discounted health incentives e.g. gym membership, Fitbit/Garmin, Galaxy Watch, holidays to name a few. The job is mainly office based, however working from home options are negotiable.
