About The Role
PETA are proud to be working with TRUMPF Lasers to support them with the recruitment and training of a new IT Support Technician apprentice. The successful applicant will join the team at their office in Hedge End and work Monday to Friday.

Training to be provided:
As an IT Support Technician Apprentice, you will be studying towards a level three ICT Support Technician apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is 22 months in length and will involve ongoing onsite training and mentoring from the team at TRUMPF Lasers combined with 25 days of off the job training at the PETA training centre in Cosham
About the role:
Joining the team as an IT Support Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Support will involve giving 1st to 2nd line technical support to end users
- Using the IT Helpdesk system to track and monitor all logged support calls
- Building, fixing and upgrading hardware, including desktops, laptops
- Resolving software and application issues
- Maintaining stock and inventory and working with 3rd party suppliers
- Supporting offsite and international staff in all IT and hardware issue
- Being involved and supporting IT implementation and upgrade projects

You will also need:
- Grade C (4) or above in GCSE mathematics and English Language
- Basic knowledge of Windows, hardware and mobile devices iPads and iPhones
- Self-motivated and keen to develop, with a willingness and desire to learn
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
