Job description

This global, multidisciplinary practice who work across architecture, interior design, urban masterpalnning and landscape are seeking a personable and motivated IT Support Specialist to join their team in Central London. You will be part of a small IT team and support the wider studio with Tier 1 support, based in their stunning, open plan office.

You will be mainly based on site, with some work from home flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tier 1 support for a helpdesk system. Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operations to resolve problems.
  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems and peripheral equipment.
  • Observe system functionality and reports errors to supervisor.
  • Set up employee equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment.
  • Maintain account and inventory records.
  • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or managers for service.
  • Train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and provide quality customer service.
  • Periodic after-hour and weekend help desk functions.
  • Tier 1 support for IP phone system.
  • Tier 2 support for cell phones, headset, personal storage devices and other peripherals.

Skills and Experience

  • Technical or Associate’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience with an electronic helpdesk system
  • Certification in Microsoft and/or Cisco technologies is desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of basic PC components.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft based networking protocols.
  • Exposure to basic scripting language.
  • Exposure to voice and data telecommunications systems.
  • Exposure to remote access technologies for support and office connectivity.
  • Ability to set up and operate a variety of computer equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently, in an organized manner and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively regarding technic

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
