For a full list of duties held by this post, please refer to the job description The postholder will undertake the following duties: End User Device imaging, configuration, deployment and support. Provision of technical guidance and problem-solving support to other team members within own area of expertise. Assist in the safe operation of IT network end user devices and infrastructure as assigned including relevant aspects of cyber security. Assist in the investigation of problems and major incidents where required Support the administration & documentation of all changes, projects, ASR installations and processes Diagnosis and resolution of IT problems and incidents Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of the corporate and GPI IT estate to meet organisational needs where required.
Support and delivery of endpoint & infrastructure optimisation Work with relevant peers to ensure the security of the ICT systems and assisting in the planning and execution of system testing necessary for new and upgraded infrastructure installations prior to release Support the organisation with risk assessment and risk management as required. Support the delivery of the operational and technology transformation programmes Maintain asset registers for core hardware, systems, and 3rd party services Supporting and maintaining endpoint and infrastructure processes. Scoping, implementation and handover of small works requests (ASRs) Ensure changes are approved by the ICB Change Advisory Board prior to implementation. Ensure all work is handed over to support teams, adhering to all ICB processes.
Apply relevant IT policies and governance frameworks 2.Key Working Relationships a.Providing a high quality service to NHS SWL ICB clients and partners b.Providing regular and ad-hoc performance and service availability reports as required by the Field Team Lead. c.Supporting the Field Team Lead and colleagues to deliver the aims and objectives of the service d.Working collaboratively as a key member of the IT and Digital Directorate e.Working collaboratively with 3rd party suppliers 3.Financial and Physical Resources Contribute to the achievement of all the service objectives, including financial, workforce and performance Assist with appropriate procurement exercises Assist with ensuring all services operate in accordance with legislation and best practice Assist with technology refresh planning and delivery activities Ensure that all hardware and software assets are managed in such a way as to maximise their value. 4.Staff Management Provide training, advice and support on own area of responsibility. Assist with training and induction of new and existing staff.
5.Policy and Service Development Contribute to the development of IT related policies for NHS SWL ICB approval Contribute to the development of processes, standards, procedures, and policies to protect the availability of the ICT infrastructure Contribute to the collective and continuous assessment of the NHS SWL ICB IT estate to ensure it remains resilient and reflects Business Continuity requirements Keeping abreast of developments in new technology and its implementation to best practice Support SLA & KPI compliance and service improvement plans 6.Analytical Skills Ability to analyse complex problems and make logical decisions based on acquired information Ability to gather relevant information from appropriate sources Ability to analyse data, determine trends and identify patterns Sound judgement in the absence of clear guideline or precedent
