About the role:
As an IT Support Apprentice, you'll be first-line support for the service desk by providing technical support for users in the UK and Peninsula's global offices. You'll complete a range of tasks including providing first-line support across the business on a range of systems, maintain a variety software, complete daily monitoring, logging IT support inquiries, and assisting in building desktops and setting up iPhones.
Main Responsibilities:
- Being the first point of contact handling incoming enqueries over the phone, email or chat, supporting a varied user-pool
- Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any hardware and/or software problems
- Support users in the use of computer equipment as and when needed
- Take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues, explaining possible solutions to them
- Produce any follow-up actions and escalate as necessary within the business
- To allocate more complex service issues to the 2nd Line IT Engineers
- Provide any supporting reports to stakeholders as and when required
Skills:
- Have a good understanding of general IT, Windows 10/11 and hardware
- Able to use basic Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel
- Have a basic understanding of networking voice and data communications
- Team working and good analytical skills
- Have a sympathetic and understanding approach to all service users
- Ideally to have worked in a customer-facing role
Entry Requirements:
- You’ll need to attend an online interview with our Talent Team and pass initial assessments in maths and English once you have completed your registration.
- You will need to be within a commutable distance to the office location listed.
