Job description

Reporting to the Technical Team Lead the role holder is part of the IT Operations technical team that supports and administers the IT Infrastructure for Integral to enable the company to achieve its business objectives.

The successful candidate will possess a range of technical skills and will be responsible for operating as a team member within the infrastructure team, working independently and alongside other team members as well as providing support to the team lead. You will be required to deliver third-line support to support the 1st and 2nd line teams with any support issues raised across various lines of technology that enable services to be delivered successfully. This support will be both Project and BAU-focused.

They must be well organised, self-motivated, punctual, and flexible in their approach to work. He or she must also be able to prioritise a variable workload and know when to escalate a problem appropriately. They will be required to communicate effectively with users at all levels, often whilst under pressure.

Whilst demonstrating that they are an excellent team player the candidate will have a solid background working within a busy team. The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT related support and activities.

As part of the IT Operations team, you will also have the opportunity to assist with ensuring the Integral IT Operations team help improve the systems, procedures, and knowledge base by contributing and collaborating.

General summary:

3-5 years' experience in a infrastructure support role or similar providing technical support

Providing assistance and support to colleagues in IT related matters

Providing assistance as required to the line manager

Escalating problems where necessary to management or third-party suppliers

Undertaking small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the line manager

Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the line manager

Duties and responsibilities

Diagnosing and resolving technical issues on your own and as part of a team

Provide proactive, effective, and timely systems administration

Assist with troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues

Responsible for the monitoring, patching, and tuning of various infrastructure environments

Handling escalated calls from 1st and 2nd line teams

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Keeping documentation up to date

Liaising with 3rd parties and suppliers

Following processes and procedures

Experience

Working Knowledge or understanding of some or all of the below:

    • WinTel based Servers, inc. Active Directory, Windows Server, 2019, 2016, Windows client operating systems, Client AD, GPO, RDS, SQL Server
    • Endpoint Management: SCCM\MECM, Intune
    • Collaboration Tools: (Sharepoint, O365)
    • Compute: VMware ESXi
    • Storage: SAN, NAS, HP/Nimble, Solid State, NetApp
    • Telephony: Mitel, Omnichannel
    • Printing: Ricoh, Equitrac\FollowMe Printing
    • Broadband\Router Support
    • Service Management: ITIL, IPC, ServiceNow
    • Knowledge of Public/Private cloud Platforms (Azure/AWS)
    • Knowledge of network protocols and securitExperienced in working on multiple technology projects
