IT Support Officer

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive first line IT support service to Balham & our shops, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, diplomacy whilst promoting Brindisa as a great place to work through effective processes.

Brindisa encompasses a wholesale business providing the most delicious Spanish foods nationwide to restaurants and delis, wholesalers, multiples, online grocery and food halls; with retail outlets in Borough Market and Balham.

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Qualifications in IT/systems or training looking for practical work experience and an opportunity to develop.
  • Experience of working unsupervised in a methodical manner.
  • Experience of working to changing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Outgoing and friendly personality with a real can do attitude.

Key aspects of the job:

  • Collaborate with the IT Manager on key projects, contributing to our continuous improvement.
  • Log and prioritize faults and queries, ensuring prompt resolution through calls and emails.
  • Track and manage IT assets, including hardware and software, to optimize efficiency.
  • Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of issues, from initial identification to successful resolution.
  • Apply your technical expertise to identify and rectify software, hardware, and networking faults.
  • Proactively identify and address business-critical issues, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Provide maintenance and support for equipment, such as printers, projectors, and IT networks.
  • Contribute to system enhancements by setting up new equipment and upgrading existing systems.
  • Document systems and processes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate channels for timely resolution.
  • Empathetically collect details from users, displaying exceptional customer service skills.
  • Conduct user training sessions, both face-to-face and remotely, to promote system understanding.
  • Keep users informed of issue progress, providing regular updates to foster confidence.
  • Support ERP Winman end users and Retail EPOS + Scales systems for seamless operations.
  • Maintain the telephone system, ensuring efficient communication channels.
  • Foster effective relationships with external partners, promoting collaboration and efficiency.
  • Remotely configure new PCs/Laptops, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Create and manage user accounts, ensuring smooth access to systems and resources.
  • Deploy software to users' workstations, streamlining workflows.
  • Maintain databases, safeguarding data integrity and accessibility.
  • Provide comprehensive support for Windows 10, 11, as well as Server 2016, 2019.
