Here’s Why We Need you (aka job purpose)
SunLife invested heavily in upgrading IT software and infrastructure in 2016 when it was acquired by the Phoenix Group. We now need your help manage the successful day to day delivery of the IT Services. You will be working with the IT Customer Manager and our outsourced managed service provider to make sure the ever-changing IT requirements for colleagues, customers and partners are delivered to the right standards.
This role provides administrative support to the IT Service team and forms a key part in helping the function deliver a great IT Service to a lively and creative business.
Here’s what you’ll do for us (aka accountabilities)
· You’ll be a key support to the Senior IT Managers, doing anything and everything to make sure colleagues, customers and partners have a reliable IT service that meets their needs.
· You’ll provide the day to day interface between our outsourced managed service provider, colleagues and partners to make sure their needs are met and that changes are recorded, costed, co-ordinated and controlled.
· You’ll review regular service reports from IT service providers, query and action them as needed.
· You’ll be the be one of the key contacts for IT in the office. You’ll get to know every one of your 100 colleagues and will be one of the first ports of call if they have a new IT requirement or are just seeking a bit of advice on something IT related.
· You’ll be front and centre assisting the team with whatever is needed when we hit service problems and outages.
· You’ll keep track of all the costs incurred in delivering our IT service and make sure these stay within our overall cost targets.
· You’ll assist with internal risk assessments and reporting requirements to demonstrate that we are maintaining compliance with business policies and standards.

This supporting role is for an existing administrator to widen their scope and gain experience in the activities involved in the delivery of IT services for a highly outsourced business model with a turnover in excess of £100m pa.

How you’ll be successful (aka measures)
· IT service levels will be delivered within tolerances.
· In regular colleague surveys they will say that the IT service is meeting their needs.
· Issues will be identified and remedial action taken to resolve before they lead to a system outage or failure to meet a service level tolerance.
· Others will proactively seek out your help with new IT requirements and you will be well known as the friendly face of IT amongst colleagues.
· You’ll be regarded as a key player in the IT Service team. Making sure that users are kept up to date with fix progress.
· The team will be able to demonstrate compliance with technology related business policies to the satisfaction of SunLife’s Customer and Risk Committee on several occasions each year.
· Your cost tracking and forecasting will ensure that the IT service is delivered within annual cost budgets.

· You’ll have a real enthusiasm for IT and be a savvy tech user
· You’ll likely have previous experience in an administration role
· You’ll be a comfortable getting out and talking to colleagues, suppliers and partners
· You’ll be enthusiastic, energetic and quick to learn. You won’t wait to be asked.
· You’ll be really well organised and think logically with an analytical mind.
· You’ll be comfortable with all the usual business software packages and willing to master new ones quickly - just because you can.
