IT Specialist
Office: Kitchener/Oakville
Job Summary:
The IT Specialist will work closely with the IT Manager to oversee the day-to-day IT operations. In this role you will be working with the Carlsberg IT Organization and several third parties to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely fashion
Accountabilities:
· Monitoring day to day IT Operations and Support activities.
· Oversee Tier I and Tier II support activities provided by MSPs to ensure proper and timely resolution.
· Identify, escalate, and assist in troubleshooting of critical issues with other members of IT Team or Third Parties.
· Procure and track required hardware and software.
· Perform and manage onboarding and offboarding of users.
· Assist and coordinate the installation, maintenance and upgrades of infrastructure, network, and system hardware.
· Set-up and deploy new laptops, desktops, tablets and cell phones.
Qualifications:
· A College Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field required.
· 2+ years of experience in a similar role
· Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
· Creative problem-solving skills and critical thinking
· Good organization, time management and prioritization
· Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening.
· Consistently able to demonstrate maturity under pressure and able to perform effectively in a busy environment.
· Experience overseeing or working with third party IT organizations.
· Must be able to safely lift 20 kilograms, IT related equipment.
This is an onsite position within out Kitchener office with limited travel to Oakville Satellite Office
· Valid G driver's license to drive within Ontario, Canada
· Reliable vehicle to travel to and from work with the specified occasional travel to Oakville.
