We are looking for a skilled Information Technology (IT) Specialist to join our organization and be responsible for maintaining and improving the technical systems of gWorks and providing technical support to our staff and clients in support of our vision to power thousands of small local governments. The ideal candidate is a team player with a customer-oriented attitude and a technical, analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills. You will frequently interact with staff and clients, using your system and security improvement knowledge and the ability to enhance efficiency and productivity through technology. The IT Specialist will need to be service-focused, results-driven, and innovative.

The Successful IT Specialist will:
- Maintain and improve gWorks' technical systems, ensuring their smooth operation and continuous enhancement.
- Provide timely and effective technical support to both internal staff and external clients, addressing inquiries, issues, and requests.
- Install and update software and hardware as required to ensure optimal system performance.
- Monitor security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices to safeguard data and systems.
- Troubleshoot computer problems efficiently, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items to ensure adequate resources are allocated.
- Foster strong and lasting relationships with staff and clients, taking a partnership approach and delivering high-quality customer service.
- Act as the primary liaison between the IT department and other departments within gWorks, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Develop, train, and facilitate the professional growth of IT employees at gWorks.
- Execute a servant leadership style to support the success of the IT team.
- Provide oversight for quality control measures to ensure the highest level of performance and reliability.
- Develop and execute courses of action to support and meet company objectives.
- Engage with clients regarding IT projects and support, representing gWorks at client-facing meetings as needed.
- Provide feedback to the Product Team on technical issues or enhancements to continuously improve our software platform.
- Develop internal processes and tools to efficiently execute gWorks' obligations, such as migrating to cloud computing.
Essential Skills:
- Professional experience with a proven track record of delivering high-quality IT service.
- Expertise in IT systems and technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, administration, or management.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, network administration, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Detail-oriented approach with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and achieving client satisfaction.
This role may be hybrid and allow for some work-from-home days based on team needs. The incumbent should reside within a reasonable distance from the Omaha, Nebraska, office to accommodate the needs of the business, with the majority of work done in the office.

Compensation Range: $60,000 - $80,000 annual salary
