The Role
We are looking for a Hybrid IT Support Administrator to be the first point of contact for our internal services technology needs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with and provide your technical input to employees at all levels in the business on a variety of technical topics. You will be a trusted partner on infrastructure implementations, upgrades, and fixes, and will be relied upon to contribute industry best practices to continually improve department practices.

The work is diverse, challenging, and fulfilling, and includes product development of our core SaaS platform and tools, integrations with our broad range of partners, business process automation, platform scale and security investments, and close partnership with our Analytics and AI team on developing novel insights. Who You Are
- A strong communicator who is able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and interact effectively with all employee levels in the business
- You have an excellent ability to serve your internal customers and work as a team
- Strong user of Microsoft Office suite applications with knowledge of the wider Microsoft 365 environment
- Understanding of basic networking concepts (VLANs, routing, IP, DNS etc.)
- Experience with enterprise office applications an asset (Microsoft Office/Exchange/System Center/Office365/Dynamics GP/VEEAM Backup)
- Strong knowledge in Windows based LAN infrastructures (2008/2012/2016)
- Strong knowledge of Security Concepts (i.e. Firewall, VPN), and familiar with IT security vulnerabilities and risk management
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft domain – DHCP, DNS, File Shares and Group Policy
- Experience with TCP/IP networking - firewalls, switches, LAN extension
- Knowledge of Atlassian product suite
- Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
Bonus Points
- Experience with AV and presentation equipment
- CompTIA A+ certification
- Knowledge or experience with public cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS/GCP)
What You’ll Do
- Work with employees on all system related needs to formulate clear system scope and objectives to meet business needs. From ensuring new hires are set up with the right equipment and access, to providing recommendations on system implementations or processes, you’ll be involved in many system related topics
- Monitor and analyze system issues and communicate details to stakeholders along with your recommendations
- Act as a liaison between technical teams on the configuration, installation and compatibility assessment of system changes
- Write and maintain technical documentation
- Conduct research into hardware and software issues as required
- You will need to be on-site in our Burnaby, BC head office approximately 2-3 days a week to support various IT projects and initiatives
