Beer Capitol Distributing in Sussex, WI is now hiring for an IT Systems Specialist. The IT Systems Specialist provides IT support for the company's office and mobile computer system users. Main responsibilities of this position include setting up, maintaining, and updating the required computer systems for our employees. Other responsibilities include the setup and ongoing support of applications, information access, office printing devices, as well as mobile computing devices used in the field.
Schedule:
Monday- Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Hours may vary as necessary. Potentially provide weekend and after-hours support as needed as this is a salaried position
All work is on-premise in Sussex, WI
Responsibilities:
- Provides setup and maintenance for desktop, laptop, and mobile hardware and software
- Assist in the scheduled upgrades, implementation, and maintenance for large groups of users and/or devices throughout the company.
- Investigates and resolves hardware and software problems with end users, including office staff and mobile device users
- Contributes in the troubleshooting of both software and hardware problems with the company's service providers, including hardware warranty repairs.
- Maintains and assists end users with office printing and copying devices
- Assists the IT support help desk, responding to employee requests regarding tasks, problems, issues or concerns. Involves, or escalates to other team members based on availability or subject matter expertise.
- Assists in ticket management system ensuring that tickets are resolved in a timely manner. Analyzes and resolves incidents or requests about software or hardware. Logs and tracks incidents and requests from identification through resolution both accurately and with all necessary details. Follow up with the end user, and other support staff involved, to ensure requests are resolved and the customer communication is complete. Documents resolutions with details and updates applicable support documentation.
- Sets up, maintains, and updates user records such as Active Directory, file and application access, email, computer systems, system records, desk phones, and additional duties as assigned, for employee new hires, terminations and those changing positions.
- Provides support for company audio/visual systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and supporting some or all of the following:
- Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams; on premise and subscription models
- Windows Operating Systems
- Windows Server Operating Systems
- Apple iPads, iPhones, and MacBooks
- Remote Desktop support plus remote support for handhelds, smartphones and tablets
- Active Directory and Exchange; on premise and subscription implementations
- Patch management; including firmware updates and the use of Microsoft Endpoint Manager components (WSUS and/or SCCM)
- Powershell, scripting, and group policy
- Advanced printer/peripheral device troubleshooting
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, RAID, Radius Server, Terminal Server, and Wi-Fi
- Endpoint Protection Management to include antivirus, spyware, and malware protection, and the use of repair software and removal tools
- Mobile Device Management tools, device registration, and features
- VPN access and configuration
- Knowledge of various hardware including: desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve

- Ability to use support software tools
- Completely trustworthy and exercise good judgement

Qualifications:
- High School graduate
- Minimum 2 yr. associate degree in computer science, networking, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced education and Industry certifications preferred.
- Prior experience supporting users of computer hardware and application software preferred.
Other:
- This position requires the employee to use a personal mobile smart phone. The company will provide a stipend to assist with paying the costs associated with this.
- This position may require occasional travel. Valid driver's license and proof of insurability is required. Reliable transportation is required.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to use arms, hands, reach and grasp. Bending, crawling, or stooping are occasionally required
- Ability to sit long periods of time
