Your role
1. Develop new software solutions from scratch and engaging in software architecture decisions.
2. Maintain and improve existing niche IT solutions and being able to learn quickly specific niche frameworks.
3. Building and integrating information systems to meet the company’s needs
4. Innovate and contributes to Development, DevOps processes and setup the optimal cloud solutions including containers, library dependencies, orchestration, and execution pipelines.
5. Be a product champion on Microsoft Azure products related to software development cloud native.
6. Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it
7. Have good understanding of web development and full stack experience.
The role will be based out of London.

The Model Risk Management team is a group of elite and pioneering software engineering professionals who brings modern computer science and IT platform management to our stakeholders across the bank.
We implement common reusable solutions to ensure the model risk management runs on most optimal and scalable framework. We use niche solutions, and we are expanding towards inhouse built solutions to ensure the UBS Model Risk Management and Control remains competitive and ahead of our peers.

Your expertise
- at a minimum, have a degree level qualification.
- Ideally, have 10+ years of software development experience; major part of which is in full stack cloud native using Java Spring and React.
- experience with Python would be a plus.
- experience with PostgreSQL would be a plus.
- microsoft Azure Cloud DevOps experience focus on Azure Functions.
- SDLC tools with GitLab and CICD Pipeline
- have excellent understanding of Object-Oriented programming and Functional programming paradigm.
- strong Analytical skills

- strong desire to learn new technologies
