Job description
A vacancy has arisen within our IT Department based in Biggleswade for an IT ServiceDesk Administrator. The role contributes to the success of Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd by providing non-technical administrative support to the IT department and staff throughout the business on behalf of the IT department. The role will be critical, both to the planning and booking of IT staff activities but also to the verification and compliance of information relating to our governance and compliance standards. This role contributes to the Company’s key result areas; Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership.
Your Responsibilities
- Administers the (future) Document Management System
- Undertakes the role of ordering stock, purchase requests and any relevant administration duties for the IT department
- When required requests information from Liebherr Great Britain employees, suppliers, contractors and the IT team
- Performs audits based on information held by IT department for compliance and governance
- Books appointments and site visits for the IT team, including booking pool cars and liaising with site staff
- Encourages users to use the self-service portal and provides basic support when needed
- Performs user account management in relation to new-starters, leavers, movers and permissions changes/reviews
- Communicates and arranges supplier visits as and when required
- Identifies areas of business process where IT can automate and improve efficiency
- Fulfils duties from the compliance database and records evidence with the database
- Raises, monitors and reviews Requests for Change and escalates in accordance with the change management procedure
- Provides suggestions to improvements of process and policy in relation to the activities undertaken
- Contribute to the delivery of the IT roadmap
- Project Management
- Attend project review meetings (for awareness of project status)
- Communicate project status to the wider business on request
- Ensure that tickets exist for project tasks
- Ensure that new assets are recorded in the CMDB
Your Profile
- Ability to communicate technical information to people at all levels within the organisation
- Team player with a flexible approach to work, hours and location
- Experience of working in an administrative role
- Ability to articulate complex information to audiences of all levels
