Job description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a positive individual to join our team as an IT Service Support Manager. You will join us working 35 hours per week, on a permanent basis and will be based remotely. In return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £41,349.69 per annum plus excellent benefits.
Although this role is primarily home based, the successful candidate will be required to travel to the National Cat Centre in Chelwood Gate, East Sussex, roughly 1-2 times a month, please bear this in mind when applying.
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of adoption and homing centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2021 we helped 137,000 cats and kittens. That's the equivalent of around 375 cats a day!
The Service Delivery Team consists of approximately fifteen employees, sitting within the Digital Transformation strand. The team provide high levels of service availability and support throughout the organisation to Cats Protection employees and volunteers, seeking to proactively and collaboratively work with suppliers to resolve incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory performance to make sure Cats Protection can continue to provide the best service to our cats.
Responsibilities of our IT Service Support Manager:
The main purpose of this role will be to manage the day-to-day operations of the Service Delivery Team, to ensure high levels of service availability and support throughout the organisation, as well as provide line manager support/supervision to the Service Delivery Team. The successful candidate will be required to monitor the service delivery channels, collect and record performance data, investigate causes of incidents and seek resolutions, escalate unresolved incidents and initiate speedy and permanent resolutions to problems in systems and services. You will also supervise individuals and allocate tasks and projects.
What we’re looking for in our IT Service Support Manager:
- Experience line managing/supervising a service delivery team
- Familiar with the processes used to support the customer services function
- Practical understanding of the activities of the business and appreciates the importance of the customer service task within the business
- Analytical thinker with experience of the concepts and practices to implement effective IT solutions
- Ability to make appropriate technical decisions, initiating action to resolve operational problems
- Experience giving direction and delegating tasks to others, following this up and monitoring progress
- Ability to build strong relationships, excellent oral communication skills, confidence and professionalism when engaging with stakeholders
