Your purpose
As a Security Analyst for Specsavers you will be responsible for in depth analysis, long term trending, intelligence gathering along with security incident response activities in support of Specsavers. You will be comfortable working as part of a wider team with an ability to self-direct. You will prioritise and manage work as determined by business criticality or priority whilst managing the quality of service provided to Specsavers regardless of delivery method (internal or 3rd party) with respect to IT security.
You will be the security incident SME and should be able to use, internal tooling and assets along with open-source assets to derive intelligence that can be applied to the Specsavers environment and being able to translate complex security issues into plain text for consumption by other elements of the wider business and management, in the form of reporting and incident output.
Your role
- Maintain and provide a collated, cross-service view, e.g. provide a single, holistic view of a security threat utilising input from multiple monitoring and response services and tools
- In-depth analysis and escalation point for triage function
- Gathering of cyber threat intelligence/open-source research to be applied with a Specsavers focus and drive corresponding output where required
- Outcome driven use case creation and lifecycle management, in partnership with cyber operations team.
- Long term trending across all security tooling and SOC output
- Communication with both internal entities and 3rd party partners as required
What you’ll bring
- Excellent commercial work experience in a security analyst role
- A strong understanding of holistic and in-depth analysis approaches
- A strong understanding of correlation and aggregation of data
- A strong understanding of WAN/LAN/Cloud infrastructures and technologies
- A strong understanding of security tactics, techniques, procedures
- Demonstratable knowledge of people, process, and technology and when/where each would be used to mitigate risk
- A good understanding of cyber threat intelligence and open-source intelligence gathering
