IT Project Manager – FTC 2 years UK wide role (primarily based at Teesside)
Introduction
Mersen is implanting a new MRP system across its sites worldwide, this project is called BUzIT and will involve the migration from the existing JDE system to a newer version based around a common core model. The UK has three sites and operates across 5 Business Units, the project has just commenced and needs an overall project manager to ensure successful implementation.
Role Details
As BUzIT Project Manager, you will bring technical knowledge to manage the UK Project for 3 UK sites. This will require the transition & set up of all IT Services & Infrastructures that are based on solutions which meet the needs of operational activities & the Group's functional departments
Key Responsibilities.
- Responsible for the overall local budget and planning
- Ensure communication during the project to stakeholders and users
- Manage the project team and follow the BUzIT deployment methodology
- Plan and execute the governance meetings, Steering committee, Project Committee
- Coordinate and follow the change management action plan
- Lead the site gap analysis and follow up all areas, providing all the necessary information to understand, evaluate and arbitrate the Gaps.
- Assist in coordinating the data migration works
- Coordinates the business experts & key users teams, their deliverables and ramp-up on the BUzIT solution
- Be a privileged facilitator for the integrator and BUzIT central team on the delivery of the BUzIT solution
- Coordinates with local IT to ensure adaptation of all necessary interfaces with local applications, etc. as well as the technical aspects of local infrastructure
- Follow-up of incidents and adaptations during the go live and support period in collaboration with the BUzIT team.
Key Objectives
At site level:
- Follow the deployment methodology define with BUzIT Team
- Ensure the local team engagement to avoid any risk on planning
- Ensure good preparation of the local team to enable them to have the capability to work autonomously on new tools
- Ensure the quality of the solution delivered and the fit with business requirements
- At group level
- Collaborate with the Global BUzIT team to mitigate all risks identified
- Be part of global communication to help other sites preparation
- Provide a return of experience to improve the Core Model methodology
Person Specification:
- Former project leader for similar project with IT tool deployment
- Have strong drive and know how to communicate with, engage and encourage the local team
- Have extensive knowledge of business, in particular the capability to assess business impacts of changes
- Has a macro and micro vision and is able to see the flows as a whole
- Comfortable with IS tools
- Ability to communicate within site on rules and good practices
- Rigor, reactivity and focus on scheduled delivery
- Experience of JDE would be preferred.
