Because of exciting new plans in the works for 2023 Homebase are recruiting across multiple teams, including our IT team! As such we're seeking an experienced IT Project Manager
Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday (8 am - 4 pm OR 9 am - 5 pm). Should you require flexible working arrangements, please let us know and we will do our very best to accommodate these where possible!
Location: We operate a hybrid working policy which means that you decide what works best for you! If that means working from home, then work from home. If you prefer to work in an office then you're welcome to work from the office. For this particular role, you will need to work from our Milton Keynes, Store Support Centre for 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays). This may increase to 3/4 days per week for short periods in the run-up to our peak seasons.
Salary: £45000 - £55000 plus bonus
Job Role Purpose:
You will shape, drive, co-ordinate and control project/programme deliverables to enable the IT strategy and solve retail business challenges. You will lead matrixed teams through all phases of projects from initiation and realisation through to implementation and transition to support.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Shaping and structuring project/ programme scope, delivery approach, plans and resources to maximise delivery success and remove blockers.
- Ensure the IT programme is planned and prioritised with appropriate resource types allocated to meet the programme/project objectives.
- Creating and maintaining an IT portfolio plan that balances active and pipeline initiatives, managing scheduling constraints/ dependencies and maximising synergies between projects/programmes.
- Facilitate creation of the business case and budget, ensuring board approval is gained, and the financial control of projects/programmes is managed.
- Clearly identify, assess, and actively manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensures plans are prepared collaboratively with project stakeholders’ engagement and are accurate and regularly maintained.
Key Requirements:
- Ability to estimate, plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies risk and issues, and devises contingency plans across teams and scope areas.
- Evidence of formal training and/or qualifications (to practitioner level) in project management, APM desired. Minimum 5 years+ experience in project/programme management.
