ROLE: IT Project Manager, based in Purfleet, Essex – Hybrid
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
This is an exciting new opportunity that will enable success through the delivery of our strategic IT projects/programmes across our IT, Logistics and Retail departments. This will provide a challenging opportunity to engage across the entire business from business systems users through to the senior management team.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- You’ll be leading, managing, and implementing IT change projects of varying sizes and complexities
- Ensuring the scope of Logistics/IT/HR/Retail Projects remain on time and on budget
- Ensuring all IT project activity is managed in line with Carpetright’s standards and policies
- Managing IT project dependencies as well as impacts across multiple business units, solving problems as encountered and escalating when appropriate
- Assisting the senior management team in identifying, evaluating and implementing new Logistics/IT/HR/Retail related technologies as and when they become available
- Providing regular and accurate status reports to stakeholders
- Ensuring 3rd party suppliers resolve issues within agreed warranty SLA
- Providing strategic support and guidance to IT and Business leadership teams
ABOUT YOU:
- Previous project management experience, managing Logistics, HR or Retail projects
- Proven track record delivering multi stream IT projects in a fast-paced B2C environment
- Experience of managing matrix and 3rd party development teams
- Strong financial management experience would be beneficial
- Experience of waterfall and agile project methodology, especially the use of Kanban boards
- Ability to prioritise workload based on project priorities
- Microsoft D365 and Azure DevOps (or equivalent) experience would also be fantastic
