IT Operations Technician Bolton, England
Job description
We are seeking an IT Technician to join our team and provide technical support to our employees. The ideal candidate will have experience with desktop support, IT infrastructure, software troubleshooting, computer hardware, and computer networking.
Responsibilities:- Communicate with end-users to resolve technical issues- Provide desktop support for Windows operating systems- Troubleshoot software issues and escalate as necessary- Perform hardware repairs and upgrades- Manage IT infrastructure including servers, switches, and firewalls- Utilize ServiceNow and Remedy ticketing systems to track and resolve issues.
Skills:- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with end-users- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite- Knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting- Familiarity with computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs- Experience with firewalls such as SonicWall or Cisco ASA is a plus
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred but not required.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £24,700.00-£26,000.00 per year
