Job Description: The Role A great NEW opportunity to join our busy IT team! Are you a solution driven, proactive team player? Reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will be responsible for supporting Barfoots core business IT network infrastructure and backend systems. Assisting with the support, management and administration of the business network and IT systems, you will be capable of effective problem resolution and associated software administration. The workflow is fast-paced and requires the ability to respond effectively to change, challenges and priorities. With lots of projects both current and new, you can expect to be busy. Commercially & operationally aware, with excellent customer service/communication skills, both written and verbal, you will be a confident and proactive team player, with a focus on continuous improvement at all times. Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Perform server and security audits, and system backups and recovery Design, develop and deploy LANs, WANs and wireless networks Successful delivery of business projects and BAU administration, support and maintenance Manage support issues, work requests and projects using the IT Helpdesk. Ensure users and business units are updated on the progress of all work including timescales Maintain the Microsoft Active Directory environment Identify opportunities for process and technology improvement Follow Barfoots ITSM processes of Asset Management, Change Management, Incident Management, Request Management, Problem Management and Project Management Requirements: Required Knowledge/Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in a network / server support role Strong troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills Microsoft Windows Server 2016 / 2019 / 2021 Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy Management, DNS, DHCP Microsoft Exchange Server Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Server virtualisation, preferably VMware Enterprise network switches including VLAN technology (preferably Cisco) Enterprise wireless Network Printing Category 5 / Fibre cabling (including Cat5 termination) Veeam backup solution Storage technologies (preferably Nimble) Full UK driving licence and valid passport Benefits: Why Work for Barfoots? * Investors in People Silver Award Company pension scheme Life Assurance Employee Assistance Program Employee benefits platform Discounted leisure membership Discounted vegetable box scheme Cycle to work scheme Approved centre for Highfield qualifications Free on-site parking Committed to sustainability Barfoots of Botley
