IT Project Manager
Reflex Integrated Inc. is a leading Canadian based IT service provider. We provide end to end IT solutions to support existing and growing business needs for clients across North America. We are a dynamic and rapidly growing company that is looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our Toronto team. This position will report to the Manager of IT Projects.
This role is responsible for duties include, but are not limited to, planning, executing and evaluating multiple projects(small to medium sized), driving projects through the entire project life cycle, while coordinating with internal business leaders, external vendors/contractors, and clients. We are looking for a strong performer who can oversee project progress and resources, build strong partnerships/relationships with project stakeholders, understand general business competencies and technology applications.
This is a client facing position. The successful candidate for this role is someone that can work independently in a fast-paced environment, a curious, excited, out of the box thinking team member.
The role is based in our Toronto location and is a full-time permanent position.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee projects from initiation/start to closing/end.
- Set projects goals and objectives, define projects scope, roles, steps, and timelines.
- Manage projects’ deliverables and complete projects within set timelines.
- Manage resources allocated to projects and ensure efficiencies are in place.
- Communicate and coordinate projects objectives, steps, tasks, schedule, milestones, etc. with clients as required.
- Accurate, frequent, and up-to-date reporting on project progress, time frame, estimates, budget, actuals, issues.
- Oversee the allocation and availability of resources required for a project
- Conduct risk assessments to identify factors capable of minimizing success of a project.
- Establish and maintain positive relationship and trust with third party contractors and vendors.
- Given the nature of the industry, after hours work might be required from time to time.
- Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned according to the company needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, business management, or any related field.
- 3+ years of project management experience, preferably within IT, technology, or internet environment.
- IT knowledge and experience are preferred and would be considered as an asset.
- Completion of PMP or business analysis certification is an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a passion for working with customers.
- Strong interpersonal and client service skills
- Ability to work with people (clients and internal staff) in a professional manner.
- Ability to support customers in a tactful and effective manner
- Show understanding and relate to customers.
- Problem-solving Skills to address roadblocks and open bottle necks where and when needed.
- Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic environment
- Fluency in French is an asset (not mandatory).
- Self-motivated mindset to drive results.
- Open minded, team player, with a willingness to learn and improve.
