ABOUT THE ROLE
This is your chance to join a truly iconic Midland’s manufacturing group. Given the ongoing period of expansion and major IT & Data transformation journey, this has created an opportunity for an IT Manager to join the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for:
- The management and supervision of all IT staff, including staff appraisals, setting objectives, disciplinary actions, etc.
- The development and implementation of new IT-systems based on demands of the Business in alignment with Global IT standards and processes.
- Ensuring secure and stable operations, deployment and further development of specific IT systems, IT services and IT processes, including local ERP-system (Microsoft Dynamics) and connected reporting systems.
- Ensuring the protection and integrity of systems and data plus the efficient operation, utilisation and development of information and communications technology within the business.
- Deriving strategic IT and digital initiatives from business unit strategy in close cooperation with group and global IT.
- Analysing business processes and identifying process improvement based on software capabilities in line with business needs.
- Developing and implementing new IT-systems based on demands of the Business in alignment with Global IT standards and processes.
- The provision of local IT infrastructure & services including desktop applications, networks, IT security and telecommunications derived from Group IT standards and using services provided by Group IT.
- Developing and monitoring the IT Helpdesk and align tickets with Group IT.
- The selection and control of internal and external IT service providers regarding performance and costs.
- Ensure and support successful implementation of IT projects and manage IT-related projects, meeting deadlines as requested.
- Responsible for the annual local (internal and external) IT budget.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
The successful candidate will offer the following:
- At least 3 years’ experience of managing an IT department.
- In-depth business process know-how and solution orientation.
- SAP and Microsoft Dynamics knowledge.
- Proven Project Management skills plus PRINCE2, PMP or similar qualifications.
- Knowledge of and experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience of process and systems procedural development.
- Have worked within an ITIL environment (and ideally ITIL qualified).
- In-depth business process know-how and solution orientation.
