Accounting On You Ltd are an accountancy firm specialising in online businesses and due to our rapid growth, we are seeking a Bookkeeper / Admin Assistant to join the team!
We need someone who will be able to manage and be willing to speak with their allocated clients on a monthly basis.
Preferably, the successful candidate will have experience working with online businesses however please keep in mind we do also have a few ‘bricks and mortar’ businesses on our books too.
Your role will be to provide support to our clients in performing daily tasks and running a successful business.
The successful candidate will work very closely with the director.
This is a remote role so the ideal candidate will be self efficient.
Your duties will be varied and will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting clients with their day-to-day accounting queries
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
- Full Bookkeeping duties, including liaising with the accountants, sending client monthly bookkeeping profit and loss summaries and balance sheets and adding in payroll or any other adjustments.
- Speaking with clients on a monthly basis to discuss their profit and loss reports and to answer any other questions they may have.
- Advising clients on salary and dividends
- Researching into specific trades / industries to see what can be claimed back as an expense for that particular niche.
- Liaising with clients in a timely manner
- Work efficiently with other members of the team
- Assisting with other business activities
- Admin duties
The successful candidate will also:
- Have their own computer or laptop with a strong internet connection, as the role is a work from home position.
- Be able to adhere to the GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
- Be competent.
- Have experience used accounting cloud systems such as QuickBooks & Calendly
- Excellent communication skills
- Be able to build rapport with clients
- Have access to WhatsApp
- Excellent attention to detail
- Bookkeeping skills (ideally AAT, but experience also considered)
- Well-organised, pro-active and the ability to multi-task
- First class time management skills
