What are we looking for?
As the Hands-On IT Manager at Netsmart, you will be responsible for overseeing and actively participating in all aspects of our information technology infrastructure. You will work closely with the IT Director and support staff to ensure the effective operation and continuous improvement of our systems and technologies. Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.
- Design and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company's objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day IT operations, ensuring reliable and efficient performance of networks, systems, and applications.
- Senior IT Support on technical related requests onsite and remotely. Ticket creation and monitoring of resolution status
- Collaborate with teams for maintenance of local area network services such as firewalls, switches, APs, and other devices
- Implementation and maintenance of corporate backup systems
- Ensuring IT security is a fundamental aspect of this position.
- Coordinate vendor technical support as required
- Implement and comply with site-specific operations and security policies
- Implements, maintains, and adheres to all IT policies and procedures as set by Netsmart management
- Travel as needed to remote client sites
- Assisting other IT teams as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5-7 years of equivalent IT experience is a prerequisite for this role.
- Technical diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Candidates possessing certifications relevant to this role will be eligible for higher salaries.
- Class 5 Drivers License and a reliable vehicle.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be clear and fluent in speaking, reading and writing English.
- Criminal background check required upon offer of employment.
