Head of Business/IT
Location: Medway
Salary: £130 - £230 per day
Start date: September 2023
Contract: Long-term, potentially permanent

GSL Education Kent is excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a talented and experienced individual to join a school in Medway as the Head of Business/IT . This role offers the chance to lead and shape the Business and IT departments, driving educational excellence and fostering a passion for these subjects among students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and management for the Business and IT departments, ensuring effective curriculum planning, delivery, and assessment.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies to engage and inspire students.
• Lead and support a team of dedicated teachers, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
• Promote strong links with industry partners and develop opportunities for work experience and real-world applications of Business and IT concepts.
• Monitor student progress, track attainment, and implement intervention strategies where necessary to support student achievement.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Business, IT , or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Business and/or IT at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the curriculum.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire both students and staff.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in Business and IT.
• Passion for education, with a commitment to providing a high-quality learning experience for students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
