Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a global energy business who are looking to add a senior hire into their IT team. The role will be onsite at the Head Office and you will be required to travel to multiple sites.
This is a truly exciting time to join this business for an experienced and strategic minded Head of IT Projects.
A brand new role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of IT-related projects and ensuring their successful delivery.
As pat of your role you will:-
Lead and manage the project management function to ensure the successful delivery of IT-related projects.
Develop and implement project management methodologies, processes, and tools to standardize project execution and improve overall project performance.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with business strategies and priorities.
Manage a portfolio of IT projects, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively taking corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing among stakeholders and IT department.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, vendors, and external partners, ensuring effective collaboration and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide regular project status updates and reports to Head of IT, highlighting key milestones, risks, and accomplishments.
Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in project management and IT, leveraging this knowledge to drive continuous improvements.
Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the IT Teams.
Collaborate with the IT teams to understand IT systems and processes across the organization, ensuring that projects align with the overall IT strategy.
Develop and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement activities, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement of project management practices
The role would suit an ambitious individual who is keen to progress over time. You will have a proven and successful track record in delivering IT projects and have a commercial acumen ideally with project implementation experience.
