Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to join our dynamic team. As the IT Manager,you will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation and continuous improvement of our REMS App and you will be also responsible for the overall management of the organization's information technology (IT) infrastructure and systems. This includes planning, designing, developing, implementing,and supporting all IT systems and services. You will supervise our customer support team, to ensure the seamless delivery of our attendance management solution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mobile app development, software & systems maintenance, as well as excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to meet business objectives.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients to gather requirements, resolve issues, and provide regular project updates.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, identifying dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate collaboration and ensure alignment among cross-functional teams, including software development, testing, and support.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and report on project status to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, driving efficiency and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in project management and technology.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of the REMS App, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and adherence to project scope.
  • Provide technical support to users and resolving related issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular security assessments of IT systems and networks, ensuring that the organization's data is protected from unauthorized access.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or Project Manager in the IT industry, preferably with software development projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Solid technical background and familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with design and implementation of user interfaces for mobile apps using Node.js.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages (Java, Swift, Kotlin).
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).
  • Experience with deployment of applications to the App Store and Google Play.
  • Experience with cloud-based mobile app development.
  • Experience with mobile app testing and debugging.
  • Knowledge of attendance management systems or related domains is highly desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From £27,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Paisley, PA2 6ES: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)

  • IT project management: 5 years (preferred)
