apetito business operates 24/7 providing vital service to our customers. IT is central to the success of the business and the team supports the infrastructure and services vital to its operation. We are embarking on a period of exciting change and this role will be a key appointment in its delivery.
We are seeking to employ a IT Insight & Monitoring Analyst - Placement who will use our recently acquired Next Think platform to improve our end use compute experiences for all users.
This person will also be a key member in supporting and delivering our digital transformation culture that is currently underway and will create an action plan to ensure all users benefit from a good experience with their devices.

Responsibilities:- To take ownership of our Next Think platform and be engaged in its future use and adoption
- Daily Next Think monitoring and measurement against user experience KPI’s
- Day to day administration of Next Think to ensure it’s effectively reporting on our current position.
- Fully understand why Next Think is reporting some users having Average experience or frustrating experiences.
- Create action plans that you will manage and deliver to ensure people are moving into the good experience pot.
- Offer training to influence users to change habits that maybe the reason for a poor experience.
- Offer advice to home workers that would improve their connectivity and thus improve their experience score.
- Identify any poor IT equipment and upgrade it that is he known cause for a bad experience.
- Understand any software or application trends that are causing bad experiences and address them.
- Build and maintain support documentation for Next Think.
- Write Scripts within Next Think that will automatically fire when a set scenario exists - e.g. remove Microsoft Office and Re-install if the application is corrupted.
- Have a real passion for driving down logged support calls that can be addressed through scripting in Next Think.
- Report weekly improvements on progress achieved from actions you have delivered.
- Work closely with the IT team to ensure your scripts are validated and safe to run.
- Share your plans, ideas and progress with the team to ensure they understand what your objectives and results are.
- Work collaboratively with the business, IT team, 3rd parties and Project teams where needed.
Essential:
- You will be studying towards a degree in an IT discipline with the expectation that you will receive a 2:1 (graduating 2025) or above and are looking to complete a 12 - month placement as part of your degree.
Desirable:
- Experience in Servicedesk call logging software
- Knowledge of SAP
- Experience of liaising with external partners
- Good problem solving and diagnosis
- Working knowledge of MS Office products
- Good knowledge of Computing Hardware
Personal Qualities:
Essential:
- They will have strong customer facing skills and a passion for delivering great service.
- The candidate will have a desire to regularly review all calls logged within the Servicedesk software to ensure that all calls remain current and up-to-date.
- Excellent analysis, problem management and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to own and manage workload with minimal supervision – a proven self-starter
- Able to demonstrate a structured approach to work as well as being able to work well in team environment and deal with people professionally at all levels
- Is used to working in a high workload environment and can readily prioritise issues and escalate if required
- Has a passion for speaking to business users and asking relevant questions to ascertain the user’s problem.
- Is effective at using oral and written forms of communication
- The role is based in Trowbridge Wiltshire however it may require occasional and limited UK travel.
- The role will require daily interaction with Apetito staff, 3rd parties and Franchisee staff.
- You will report to the IT service delivery manager.
- The role will require 24/7 on-call out of hours support on a rota basis as required.
