CSS Europe Limited is a growing software company who provide software solutions that power the performance of NHS, local government, and public sector organizations in order to drive productivity & efficiency.
We are looking for an IT enthusiast with a passion for all aspects of IT Infrastructure. The right candidate will be someone who is hands on with a wide range of activities within the IT infrastructure space, and has proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of IT best practice and processes.
Your primary role will be implementing, maintaining and developing our IT needs across all departments.
Duties will include:
- To continually develop and implement the IT Strategy for the organisation, ensuring it is fit for purpose as the business expands and changes.
- To fully understand the organisation’s cyber security defenses, and to monitor cyber security, as well as being an integral part of the cyber response team.
- To assess IT related risks across the organisation, and to escalate risks to your line manager and other department heads where necessary.
- To handle contracts with third-party suppliers, including fully understanding the service provided. Ensuring that any supplier issues are successfully identified and addressed.
- To work closely with your department head and third-party suppliers to ensure the organisation’s IT infrastructure is fit for purpose.
- To handle the IT change control process, including assessing all requests for changes to technical policy or new applications, working with suppliers/users to scope requirements and provide advice on appropriate solutions, and ensuring changes and additions to the IT infrastructure are aligned to the IT Strategy.
- To keep up to date with external trends or shifts in technology and how these trends could be applied to the business’ needs and IT Strategy. To make recommendations for change as appropriate.
- To work with your department head to annually review and update the suite of IT Policies.
- To help to ensure the organisation maintains our Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Proven Experience in hosted environment management, Microsoft 365 administration and/or active directory
- Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems
- System administration, database, and security expertise
- IT Operations Experience
- Cyber Security Experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of products and apps
- Awareness of compliance and legal IT security obligation
- Proficient with the office 365 suite
Soft Skills required:
- High attention to detail, someone with good common sense and a ‘can do’ approach
- Ability to take ownership of issues, and see them through to resolution
- An excellent communicator
- A proactive person who can manage own time effectively and work to deadlines
Desirable Skills:
Experience working with;
- MS SQL,
- Integrations
- Active Directory,
- MDM (mobile device management)
- Azure administration

Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
CSS offer 20 days of annual leave, with all statutory days on top.
