As an IT Delivery Support Officer you'll be supporting our Group Infrastructure and Operations (GIO) Platforms, which provide several common IT services across the DEFRA group. In addition to running these live services within DEFRA, we also run a programme of enhancement and improvement.
We’re looking for someone to work across all of our projects and provide a central point of support for our teams, so you’ll be providing direct assistance to both the GIO Platforms management and delivery teams.
Key to the role is day-to-day help with a wide range of activities. You’ll be involved in team management, onboarding of resources, information organisation and diary management.
You’ll provide a focal point for governance, assets and regular tasks across the teams, providing a central point for advice, expertise and guidance to all Platforms teams. You’ll also maintain and control the use of common and frequently used documentation, templates and forms. Continuous improvement is important to GIO Platforms, so we’re also looking for someone who can contribute to improvements in ways of working.

Responsibilities
- Maintain documentation stores, governance and team information. This will include templates, configuration management and version control as necessary.
- Onboarding/offboarding of resources. Manage access and permissions requests, ensure that all new starters have what is needed.
- Meeting and diary management. Manage team meeting timetable and availability. Ensure key stakeholders/guests are fully engaged and prepared.
- Maintain availability and holiday tracking throughout the GIO Platforms teams.
- Assist with onboarding of new starters into team (including permissions and access). Complete offboarding where needed.
- Assist multiple delivery teams and managers. Activities will range from planning and communications to finance/procurement and progress updates.
- Chase and update actions, dependencies, risks and issues throughout the GIO Platforms teams.
Skills and Experience
- Project/Programme/Portfolio Support qualification and experience is required.
- Experience in an agile project delivery environment.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office tools, SharePoint and MS Teams.
- Excellent organisational, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively to deadlines. Maintain focus in challenging situations and adjust to find solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with document and records management.
- Experience in assisting multiple concurrent teams, managing own and team priorities to deadlines.

Salary: £30,317.00-£36,606.00 per year
