BBC Children in Need is currently looking for an Impact Manager for Northern Ireland.
This role will work closely with the other Impact Managers across the UK and will support the National Head for Northern Ireland with all aspects of the team’s work, playing an important role in implementing the Charity’s UK-wide Grants Strategy at a local level.
BBC Children in Need exists to make a positive difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
Main ResponsibilitiesBy supporting the National Head for Northern Ireland, the Impact Manager will provide leadership, management and support for the grant-making and grant management process in Northern Ireland and will play a key part in implementing the UK-wide Grants Strategy, and supporting the annual BBC Children in Need Appeal.
This includes acting as a contact point across the voluntary and community sector and for key stakeholders throughout the BBC, across the BBC Children in Need fundraising community and beyond. This role supports the vision to enable even more effective and sustainable positive change for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
You will also take responsibility for monitoring and reporting of grant management information and escalating issues to the National Head for Northern Ireland as appropriate. The role will involve overseeing the management of complex grants and escalating risks to the National Head of Northern Ireland as appropriate.
You will also be responsible for chairing and facilitating grant decision-making meetings and managing a geographical area and grant portfolio, working with stakeholders to facilitate the development and delivery of solutions for change for children and young people.
Additional job specific responsibilities and accountabilities:
Knowledge of the statutory and voluntary sector in Northern Ireland, relevant to children and young people, is essential.
You will be expected to travel within Northern Ireland on a regular basis in order to have face to face time with the team, to attend project visits and meet with key stakeholders in the region
You will be expected to play a key role in contributing to the development and implementation of the grant-making strategy.
Are you the right candidate?The ideal candidate will have experience of managing grant-making or grant management processes. Your excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills will allow you to communicate appropriately with people of all types and at all levels. The ability to organise a large workload and to work quickly but calmly to tight deadlines is critical.

Package Description
Band: C
Salary: £30,906 - £38,633
Contract type: Permanent - 35 hours per week.
Location: Northern Ireland
